RCL members organized an event to assist the vulnerable children living in poor families

Rwanda country under the Ministry of Education and Rwanda Education Board is facing a problem of children dropping out from school. This problem is due to different circumstances, but mainly: poverty, neglect, and a lack of resources. While Rwanda has seen significant success in terms of increasing the number of educated children, there is still a significant problem with children dropping out from school and therefore missing out on learning opportunities. Some children in the Busogo, Gataraga, and Shingiro sectors have dropped out of school. To address this issue, the RCL organization was able to bring back five (5) students who have dropped out and came back to school. Because RCL members were unable to identify children who had dropped out, we worked with local authorities. Therefore, RCL members organized an event to assist the vulnerable children living in poor families. The event was held in three (3) sectors: BUSOGO, GATARAGA and SHINGIRO on October 8, 2021, where in each sector we helped two (2) families of children, with each family being provided with materials to help them in their daily lives.
